- Formalize and sustain interactions and collaborations between chemists and biologists
- Serve as a forum for exchange of information and knowledge in chemical biology
- Advocate for resources to support chemical biology at UGA
- Obtain extramural resources to support chemical biology work
- Engage prospective students in chemical biology research
